Meet the team

Carly

Multi Office Manager

Carly's dental career began in 2017 when she worked as a dental assistant intern for Dr. Lenz. She excelled as an assistant and quickly became a stand-out employee. Her organization and ability to problem-solve was recognized and when a position opened at the front office, the doctors knew she’d be a great fit. Carly quickly became the show-runner and has done nothing but accelerate the growth of both offices. She has become the most knowledgeable about dental insurance, credentialing, chart auditing, appeals, and coding. Her background in clinical dentistry, dependability, and thorough work ethic make her a perfect fit for our Lead Insurance and Front Office Coordinator at Battle Ground, and now the Office Manager at Camas! She is well-loved at both offices and we are so happy to have her as a leader of the pack.

Malessa

Patient Care Coordinator

Malessa came to work for us in the summer of 2020. Right after we interviewed and hired her as a dental assistant, her best friend, Tayla, followed suit and we hired her as well! We offered Malessa a change of position when we noticed how personable she was with patients, as well as how organized and good she was at explaining things. She quickly picked up the role of Patient Care Coordinator and she’s the perfect bridge between the clinical side and the front desk. She manages the Clear aligner cases in the office, so if you are someone who’s in ortho at our office, she is your go-to gal! She is also our OSHA and HIPAA representative. Outside of work, she’s excellent at doing makeup and loves to spend time with family and friends.

Gloria

Patient Care Coordinator

Gloria has been working in the dental field for over 9 years now. She is currently a patient care coordinator at our office and she’s one of the sweet, friendly front desk staff members that can be found greeting patients as they arrive or helping verify and estimate insurance benefits. She was brought onto our team and introduced to us by two of her friends and our employees that she’d worked with at a previous job, Tayla and Malessa. Gloria is extremely skilled at understanding insurance, appeals, limitations, and audits. She enjoys meeting so many new people and being part of the team that helps them feel better, one tooth at a time! In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 boys. They love to go on hikes, swimming and do a lot of baking at home.

Rachael

Patient Care Coordinator

Rachael recently completed her degree in massage therapy. This is her first position in dentistry, but she has shown to be a quick learner and a great addition to our team.

Bio

Tiffany

Expanded Functions Dental Assistant

Tiffany was hired in the spring of 2021 and her growth at both our company and in the field of dentistry in general since then is so impressive.  We love having her around the office for her funny sense of humor and sweet demeanor. She’s an excellent chairside assistant and recently became a restorative assistant alongside her coworker, Katie. Tiffany is a hard worker and also works as a CNA, where she feels very passionate about being a caregiver. Tiffany is well loved by all her coworkers at both locations as well as all of our patients.

Shelby

Expanded Functions Dental Assistant

Shelby was only the second assistant we ever hired at the Camas location back in 2017 and she truly helped build and shape the practice over years of hard work. Shelby’s positive demeanor and close attention to detail have been a huge asset for the office and we are so lucky to have her. Shelby completed a restorative program in 2021 at Portland Community College. She lives in Washougal and spends her free time with her 2 dogs or riding motorcycles with her husband, Chris.

Brandin

Dental Assistant

Brandin joined the Camas team in the Spring of 2022 after his wife, Katie, worked for the Battle Ground team and really enjoyed her experience at Tooth Docs. He is an absolute joy and asset to our team and we are so honored he chose to come work for us. Patients love how calming he is when they are in the chair. Brandin’s work history includes serving in the military for 4 years and working as a reserve firefighter for 2 years, and he really wanted to maintain a position where he could continue to help others. He grew up in Arizona and moved to Washington in 2019. In his free time, he enjoys rock climbing, hiking, camping, and paddle boarding with his family and two doggos.

Tailor F

Dental Assistant

Tailor joined our team in 2022. She has always had an interest in the dental field and is so happy to be living out that interest every day as a dental assistant at our Camas location. Tailor is a mom of a 5 year old sweet, intelligent, autistic son and a 2 year old energetic, helpful, and loving daughter. Her children are her pride and joy, and continue to teach her new ways of patience, kindness, and growth every single day. She also has a dog and kitten that she is a fur mom to! Her husband recently got out of the Marine Corps, which allowed her family to experience military life living in California for 4 years before coming back home and grounding their roots back in Washington near family and friends. She loves everything the Pacific Northwest has to offer from the mountains, to the city, to the ocean and enjoys camping and hiking with the views. Rainy fall days will always be a favorite of hers.

Tayla

Dental Assistant

Tayla was hired back in 2020 when we were finally getting back on our feet after being able to see a full set of patients for regular care again. Tayla was a quick and easy addition to our squad and introduced to us by her long-term friend and co-worker, Malessa! Both of them were incredible assets to our team and have proven to be great employees. Tayla has over 10 years of experience in the dental field and has extensive knowledge in all parts of the office–she’s helped us out with ordering, scheduling staff, knows ASL fluently, and is an excellent chair-side assistant. Tayla spent time being our lead trainer for new assistants and is a great teacher for new hires. She has one little boy on the way and we are so excited for her and glad to have her at our Camas location!

Jia

Dental Assistant

Jia finished her dental assisting program in California and has been dental assisting since 2019, but has worked for Tooth Docs since 2023. She has a 4 year old boy who starts Kindergarten in the Fall of 2024. She likes to go hiking and camping with her family in the summer. She is a great fit for our office and for dentistry in general because he is a team player and loves to help people.

Brittney

Dental Assistant

Brittney has been a dental assistant since 2022 and primarily works at the Camas office, but also currently helps out a day a week at the Battle Ground location. We found her because she is good friends with our Patient Care Coordinator, Rachael! Having friends at work is one of the best parts of working for Tooth Docs. Brittney loves her animals–she has a dog named Beans and a cat named Athena. She was born and raised here in the Pacific Northwest and her interests reflect that–she loves to read, hike, and snowboard. She also has a sweet little nephew who is the light of her life.
